This month is renowned as the month of Mad March Hares, due to the antics that take place with breeding season well under way. This is when the boxing seems to really kick off, with the female seeing off the male. It is always a joy to watch, and quite entertaining. They chase one another around at some fair old speed, leaping in the air, twisting and sum assaulting mid-air, and even piling on top of one another - I once took a photo of a pile of three Hares.

March displayed some stunning sunrises and sunsets, and what is always welcomed, is the evenings starting to stay lighter longer, especially after the clocks changed. I love to get out with my camera for a couple of hours after a stressful day at work.

The local Starling numbers suddenly increased significantly, making for some amazing displays.
